Use Supplements Wisely
Just because something is "natural" or "just a supplement" does not mean it's safe or that
taking it is without risk.  Educate yourself, consult your physician, and always inform your
health care providers of supplements you are taking - just as you would inform them of
prescription medications.  Some supplements may interfere with prescription medications
and/or anesthesia.  Even supplements that are normally well tolerated may not be well
tolerated by some individuals.  It's a good idea to start only one new supplement at a time.
It is also possible to take medications and supplements for a long period of time without
difficulty, but then find that your new "illness" is actually being caused by a previously well
tolerated drug or supplement.
